Shiatsu During Pregnancy: An Unexpected Companion

My health was good. I wasn't looking for a solution to a problem, I was looking for something to accompany me through this special time. That's how I came to try shiatsu during pregnancy, almost out of curiosity, without hesitation but also without great expectations.

The only thing that might have held me back was not feeling comfortable. Instead, I immediately felt welcomed, listened to and guided every step of the way.

A Hot Summer, a Light Pregnancy

The results came right away. Despite a particularly hot summer, I didn't swell in any part of my body, something that often happens during pregnancy due to fluid retention. I experienced a general sense of lightness, both physical and mental, that I hadn't expected.

What struck me most was that this feeling of relaxation didn't end with the treatment, it stayed with me for days afterwards.

Shiatsu During Pregnancy: Tuning In to Your Baby

Beyond the physical wellbeing, these appointments gave me something more subtle — a greater sense of ease, a space entirely my own in which to slow down. They allowed me to tune in to my baby and to listen to his response to the treatment through my body and mind.

It is not a passive massage you simply receive. It is an ever-changing treatment, adapted to your needs, that evolves with you, thanks to the ongoing dialogue with Agnese.

Who I Would Recommend It To

I would recommend it especially to anyone who has just found out they are pregnant — as a companion through this unique time. Both to take a pause and connect with the growing baby, and because Agnese adapts each session to ease the discomforts that often arise during pregnancy.

Agnese is someone who is truly passionate about her work, which she carries out with awareness and serenity, and she has a remarkable ability to transmit a deep sense of calm.

Try It

Try shiatsu, it is a deeply relaxing experience that benefits body and spirit. And if you are pregnant, don't wait.

I want to send one more heartfelt thank you to Agnese for accompanying me through such a special moment in my life.
