A New Understanding
Are you understanding your body or just the asanas?
Every yoga class is a journey of discovery. Yoga has ancient roots, but it was developed without considering male or female physiology. It’s no coincidence that many master teachers have suffered serious injuries. Think about Olympic gymnasts: they start as children, and through years of training, they reshape their bodies.
But how do we, as Western practitioners, move?Do we listen to our bodies, or do we push them to fit a "perfect" shape for Instagram?
What are we truly seeking in our yoga practice?
More often than not, our approach is driven by aesthetics, by the desire to achieve an ideal form rather than by authentic self-listening. But yoga is not just movement—it is a path of awareness, weaving together body, mind, and spirit.
This is why studying Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras is essential: they help us understand that yoga is not a performance but a tool for exploring our true nature, beyond ego and expectations.
Why Study Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras?
Sutras are deep teachings condensed into just a few words. Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras are the foundation of yoga, a guide to understanding the mind and the inner journey.
In the end, we are all searching for the same thing: happiness. If our true nature is already peace, joy, and harmony… then why do we struggle so much in life?

A New Perspective
🌈 Rainbows exist because light refracts into seven colors. ✨What if we, too, were that light, projecting infinite realities?
Just like growing a seed takes time, so does granting ourselves the space to see life with fresh eyes—it is a precious gift.
What Is Happiness?
An ice cream, a hug, a gentle touch… but everything is fleeting.
Too much ice cream gives you a stomachache.Too many hugs take away personal space.
Happiness is constantly shifting. But is there a deeper happiness, one that doesn’t depend on external circumstances? The answer lies within us.
The problem? Our minds obscure it with constant thoughts.
What if all it took was to pause and look within? 😊
Stillness & Movement: The Dance of Life
Stillness is important, but movement is essential. Every breath is a wave passing through us, a continuous dance between calmness and dynamism.
Our body is meant to move freely, not be confined in tight shoes or stiffened by habits that limit it.
Through movement, we rediscover our essence—not just by performing a pose but by experiencing its natural flow, without force.
Our pelvis, our center of gravity, plays a fundamental role in this process. From there, the spine receives crucial information, guiding the body in a harmonious and authentic expression.
Listening to the body means honoring its rhythm, allowing it to move in tune with the breath and with life itself.
Only when we find the balance between stillness and action can we fully experience both the freedom of movement and the depth of stillness.
Anatomy Becomes a Game
In Louis' classes, anatomy is not just theory—it’s a direct experience.
We play with movement:🏃♂️ Overcoming obstacles🐾 Crawling🐅 Running from wild animals🌊 Swimming🧗♀️ Climbing
By mimicking human evolution, we rediscover our agility and freedom of movement.
And it feels amazing.
Non-Duality: Everything Is Already Here
It’s not about right vs. wrong. We all have access to the same awareness.
The path is made of moments of confusion and clarity, light and shadow, doubt and insight. The outside world may distract us, but our true nature never changes.
How Can I Stay in the Light Without Losing Myself?
According to Patanjali, the mind is like a lake: when its waters are disturbed, we cannot see the bottom.
But when it calms, our true nature emerges with clarity.
✨ The Yoga Sutras offer two key tools for this journey:
🔹 Abhyasa (consistent practice) → Observing the mind without getting carried away. Not forcing, but cultivating presence.
🔹 Vairagya (detachment from expectations) → Letting go of the need for control and embracing each experience with ease.
✨ Light is not something to reach—it is something to recognize. It is not in an imaginary future—it is here and now, in every breath, in every movement.
Recognizing Our True Nature
The yoga journey is not about becoming something different—but about returning to what we have always been.
There is nothing to seek, because we were never truly lost.
And you? What do you discover when you pause and listen?
If this article inspired you, share it with someone who might benefit from it.
The more people awaken to awareness, the more light we bring into the world. ✨🧘♀️
With gratitude,
Agnese
